LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSIONS

LOCAL

MISSIONS

At Chandler Friends Church, we are deeply committed to serving as the hands and feet of Jesus in our local community and region. We desire to see God’s kingdom come and his will be done here in Chandler as it is in heaven. Toward that end, here are a few of the ways we seek to live missionally in our locality:

Two months out of the year, we volunteer with the God and People’s Food Pantry. Call the church office to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.

Elijah’s Barrel is an initiative of the local Ministerial Alliance to support the food pantry. Essentially, we collect different food items each month. You can see this month’s items on the Elijah’s Barrel board in the North Foyer. The donation barrel is in the North Foyer as well.

CFC’s Outreach Committee meets various needs for people in our community throughout the year using “Faith Promise” funds. Faith Promise is your commitment to give over and above to support local needs. You can find out more by contacting the church office. Here are some of the needs we’ve met in the last year:

  • Utility bills
  • Gift cards for hospital stays
  • Installation of rails for a home
  • Helping families obtain goods like clothes and beds
  • Emergency housing

GLOBAL

MISSIONS

Chandler Friends Church has a rich history of sending out and supporting long-term missionaries who have served in various locations around the world. While we celebrate the faithfulness of our members who have served as missionaries in the past, we also strive to raise up and support future missionaries from our church community.

Through our partnership with Evangelical Friends Mission, our missionaries are involved in church planting, whole-life discipleship and medical missions. Chandler Friends Church has long been connected with Kibimba Hospital in Burundi, Africa. You can learn more about Kibimba Hospital here. And if you’d like to learn more about our denomination’s foreign mission agency, you can do so here.
